Deliveries in the North East (DL, TS, SR, NE and DH postcodes) are carried out with one of our own wagons using a 26 tonne rigid wagon with mounted forklift. This can allow us to get your order closer to where you need it than other suppliers without this specialist equipment. The deliveries are classed as a “kerbside delivery” which means we will get the pallet or dumpy bag as close to where you would like it but can’t be responsible for moving individual rolls from the pallet into gardens. If access into your property is an issue please feel free to contact us and we will discuss your requirements.
Deliveries outside of the North East are carried out using Palletline who are the UK’s premier overnight pallet distribution company and have lots of experience in the delivery of turf. They use wagons equipped with tail lifts and then push pallets off using a ‘pump truck’. As a result they may have difficulties unloading on steep hills and onto uneven/soft surfaces (such as gravel). Palletways offer a kerbside delivery only, the drivers are unable to carry individual rolls from pallets into gardens. This type of delivery suits most situations perfectly but if you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us on 01325 339259.
Palletways deliveries are (unless by prior arrangement) an all day delivery. If it helps you can request a call by the driver to let you know they are on their way but you must state this when ordering. If you call us on the day of delivery we can give you an approx time of delivery that day. If you are happy for the pallet to be left in your absence this is fine as long as you let us know in advance. On the day of delivery please ensure you are available on the telephone number supplied at ordering in case the driver needs instructions. If the driver cannot get hold of a customer and cannot carry out the delivery he will take it back to the depot and they will reattempt the delivery the following day. This will incur a redelivery fee payable by the customer.
